INSIDE MORTON IN THE COMMUNITY AND STEM EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME

Morton in the community, social arm of the club of Greenock Morton, delivers the EFDN STEM Educational and Football Programme within their community. In partnership with schools, the 2nd delivery phase has started aiming to reach 200 participants in the west area of Glasgow in Scotland.

Ross, Education and Employability manager and Elisha, community coach achieve a huge work to permit to pupils to discover an innovative way of learning. Through this educative curriculum, pupils can develop skills in block-coding and increase their understanding in the technology field such as coding.

As reminder, STEM is defined as:

S – Science

T – Technology

E – Engineering

M – Mathematics

As stated by Elisha, this education programme makes the week of pupils by using this tablet and robot. Apart of them, Morton in the Community gathered great feedback from teachers that mentioned the involvement of some children less engaged in class starting to be involved in other activities such as this robot activity.

Thanks to We Film Golf, a partner of the club, we look back at the first delivery phase with the Newark Primary School in Scotland!
